Posted Oct 16, 2018 SAN FRANCISCO — Since 2004, Facebook has said it wants to bring the world closer together. To accomplish that goal, the company has relied mostly on the web and smartphone apps. But software is no longer enough. On Monday, Facebook introduced a pair of video-calling devices — Portal and Portal Plus — to help expand its reach into people's living rooms. Portal and Portal Plus, which have a 12-megapixel camera with high-definition video and artificial intelligence software, can be used to do video chats. The A.I.-powered camera follows users as they move, letting them converse without sitting stiffly. The devices also include Amazon's Alexa, which people can command to play music or check the weather. Read More: --- #marketing #advertising #entrepreneurs #internetmarketing #ibossadv

Posted Oct 15, 2018 Undervaluing the tools at a marketer's disposal is a common mistake that many marketers face in the realm of current digital media. Email marketing, social media accounts, and content are just a few ways to get large ROIs for minimal effort. The most effective way to receive the best results is to demonstrate mastery in a combination of multiple marketing strategies. Posted Oct 12, 2018 In the next few years, video advertising in U.S. will soar past $100 billion. Less and less and less will involve traditional TV. Banks and credit unions will increasingly need to shift their TV advertising budgets over to digital video if they hope to get their message in front of their audience. And that means YouTube. Digital technology has spawned dozens of video alternatives to traditional TV, making the medium wider, deeper, and even narrower — all at once. "Viewing is now dictated by our personal calendars, not by a network programmer," says Google in an online educational presentation. "The term 'broadcast' doesn't even really apply anymore." Posted Oct 11, 2018 New York Advertising Week is just about to wind down after a whirlwind of panel discussions, awards, parties and, of course, celebrity sessions with notables from actor Will Smith to television personality Katie Couric. But one particularly hot topic that will reverberate in the minds of all those attended and beyond is the sizzling new opportunity around voice-activated devices and advertising. Quite simply, delivering a strong sonic brand identity is a major trend that is building. However, there are a number of considerations to ensure that yours is not simply akin to that of the philosophical thought experiment of a tree falling in the woods. Essentially, by next year half of all searches will be via voice and so few brands are prepared to take full advantage of this behavioral shift that Advertising Week decided to dedicate a panel to the subject. Insightful and eye-opening, this discussion centered around how brands can better use voice-activated smart speakers to connect with consumers Read More: --- #marketing #advertising #entrepreneurs #internetmarketing #ibossadv
Posted Oct 11, 2018 Question: What are Triggers and Workflows? Answer: Triggers and workflows allow you to set up automated processes and activities whereby when a contact interacts (or doesn't!) with your website and/or marketing efforts, it will 'trigger' an action (workflow). For example, you send out an email to a list of contacts. Based on the actions taken by the recipients you can enforce a follow up action. If a contact visits a certain page on your website, you can send them a specific follow-up email. If a visitor registers an interest in your product after filling in a form, you can add them to a designated list of registered contacts. The list is almost endless and there is not an excel spreadsheet in sight. Learn More: #iBossAdv #iBossAutomation #iBossLabs #SystemsPayDividends #BigData
